Year 1: The Magic Begins

Head right and cast away the cobwebs holding the door ahead.  Within the next room there will be a drawer blocking your path.  Cast the picture frame to the right of the drawer to clear the way.  As you make your way out into the next set of halls, you will be accompanied by one of the ghosts of Hogwarts.  He will serve to be your guide, so make sure to follow him as he directs you to your current destinations.  Eventually you should reach a point where you both become separated and will need to call forth the left stairway to continue along the stud marked trail.  For now, head up the right stairway and have Scabbers access the switch from the enclosed passage above.  Once the switch has been activated, head back down the stairs and interact with the given picture frame to call forth the left stairway.

Once you have reached your initial destination, you will then be called to your first lesson in the use of spell, Wingardium Leviosa.  Within this room are three students in which you will need to assist using this newly attained ability.  The first student can be brought down by summoning the first lever right of where you’re standing.  Continue left along the room and summon the two colored blocks accordingly to access the second floor.

Once on the second floor, cast the left picture frame to call forth the pieces necessary to bring down the second student.  From the right end of the floor, assemble the spare pieces on the ground to assemble the statue upon the left wall.  Once the statue is assembled, cast the lever to bring down the third and final student.  Once all three students have been rescued, head back down to ground floor and follow the designated arrow back out to the previous set of halls.

From the main hall, assemble the colored blocks accordingly to open the gate leading inside of the next room.  As you make your way up the flight of stairs, cast the set of floor pieces hidden within the bookshelf and right torch.  Once the pieces have been assembled, continue inside of the next room.
